What to Expect During Your 1st Physiotherapy Appointment In Pickering
Your first appointment at our Pickering clinic lasts 45 minutes. The session includes a thorough physical assessment, a discussion about your health history, and the creation of an initial treatment plan. Our clinicians educate you on your condition so you understand the steps involved in your recovery. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area of concern. Please bring your health card, a piece of photo ID, your insurance card, and any relevant medical imaging reports.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete intake paperwork. Free parking is available in the medical building’s own lot on Glenanna Road, and the clinic entrance is just steps away.
Our Physiotherapy Treatment Stages
Our care plans follow a progressive structure to help you move safely from initial pain management to independent long-term physical maintenance.
| Stage | Goal | Typical number of visits | What you do |
|---|---|---|---|
| Acute | Reduce symptoms | 2-5 visits | Gentle movement and home exercises |
| Rehabilitation | Restore function | 6-12 visits | Progressive strengthening and stretching |
| Maintenance | Sustain progress | 1-3 visits | Independent home exercise plan |
